I love the other software for both sounds and unique ability to improvise new parts – but despite the amazing features – and in some narrow areas – definite superiority – TOONTRACK makes them look like unprofessional toys by comparison. I also have some other very high-end drum software that I had been working with two years prior to my experience with Toontrack. I purchased the Toontrack EZ Drummer software about a year ago. I use an Apple computer and had no compatibility issues whatsoever. I had no problems downloading, installing and firing it up. It is actually fun to use because you see your progress in real time. I think I can finally begin letting them go. I spent thousands on the latest and greatest drum machines. Then trying to get rid of the machine like feel of those tracks was darn near impossible. Tapping in each 8th, 16th, 32nd and 64th and keeping count in between was mind numbing. Programming drum tracks beat by beat steal your soul. I began working with drum machines in the mid 1980's and remember how counter intuitive they were. I purchased it, downloaded it and two days later finished constructing the drums for an original song.
